These terms cover your use of Frugi and its Bitcoin rewards program. By using the app you agree to them.
The service
Frugi is a category-method budgeting app with a Bitcoin rewards program. A subscription ($7/month or $60/year after a 35-day free trial) is required for continued use. Subscriptions are billed by Stripe and can be cancelled any time, effective at the end of the paid period.
Rewards program
Frugi rewards healthy budgeting behavior with satoshis (units of Bitcoin). Rewards are a discretionary marketing program, not interest, income on deposits, or an investment product. Reward amounts, criteria, and the monthly maximum may change prospectively at any time. Rewards are evaluated exclusively by our servers from your tracking activity.
Your sats balance
Your balance is a ledger entitlement maintained by Frugi and becomes withdrawable Bitcoin only when a withdrawal is settled to a wallet you control. Sats earned during a free trial unlock after your first successful payment. Frugi does not hold Bitcoin segregated per user before settlement.
Withdrawals
Withdrawals are sent over the Lightning Network or on-chain to a destination you provide, subject to minimums, velocity limits, and review. Frugi may hold, deny, or reverse a withdrawal for abuse, error, legal compliance, or identity verification. Once settled to your wallet, Bitcoin transactions are irreversible — double-check your destination.
Clawbacks
If a payment behind a reward is charged back or reversed, the associated rewards are voided and deducted from your balance.
Fair play
One account per person. Automated, fraudulent, or manufactured activity intended to farm rewards (including self-referrals or multiple accounts withdrawing to one wallet) may result in reward forfeiture and account termination.
Price volatility
Rewards are fixed in satoshis when awarded. The dollar value of Bitcoin fluctuates; Frugi makes no promises about the future value of your sats, up or down. Rewards may have tax consequences — consult your tax advisor.
Your data, your budget
You own the budgeting data you enter. Frugi provides the software as-is and is not a financial advisor; budgeting decisions are yours.
Changes
We may update these terms; material changes will be communicated in the app. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
